High Voltage Power Supplies

Universal high voltage power supply kit. This HV power source may be used in a variety of different high voltage applications, like:

kirlian photography
HeNe Laser tube power supply
x-ray tubes
plasma tubes
negative ion generators, etc.

Features variable frequency using a potentiometer. Also has a High-Low frequency range switch.

In addition this circuit to be either be battery powered 9-25 VDC (maximum 25V @ 300 mA), or powered from a wall transformer also 9-25 V (maximum 25V @ 300 mA) with either an AC or DC output.

While batteries provide the advantage of portability (for fieldwork), when using any power supply that can supply a greater current than 300 mA. one should put a current limiting resistor in series with the power supply. As an example, when powering circuit from 24 volt lead acid batteries (2 x 12V batteries) one should add a 84 ohm 10 watt resistor in series between the power supply and circuit to limit current to the circuit to 300 mA.

Using the standard C1 and C4 capacitors the low frequency range is approximately 700-1300 Hz. The high frequency range is approximately 800-2000 Hz. Using a 24 VDC input voltage to the circuit, the voltage output, measured using a spark gap and spherical electrodes is approximately 10-14 KV. By changing capacitors C1 and C4, one can vary the operating frequency and output voltage of the circuit, see chart below.

High Voltage Power Supply Flyback Transformer

Universal high voltage power supply kit. This HV power source may be used in a variety of different high voltage applications.

Solid state high voltage power supply is perfect for high voltage experiments, like Kirlian photography. Generates up to 15kV @ 22 KHz from solid state circuit. The high voltage at the terminal won't electrocute you, so its relatively safe, but it can burn you, so use caution.

In addition this circuit to be either be battery powered 12 VDC, or powered from a wall transformer also 12 V with either an AC or DC output. 12 VDC 500 mA.

Negative Ion Power Supply

Neon Tube Power Supply

Neon Transformer - 3,000 volts, 10 milliamps solid state UL listed. Includes 12VDC AC adapter (wall transformer) so you can use neon in your home or car.

This transformer will power approximately 3 feet of neon or 6 feet of argon in 10mm tubing. It is a solid state transformer, and it's dimensions are 2.5 " x 1 " x 1.25". This is the best 3,000 range self adjusting, open circuit protected transformer on the market today. It is tiny and strong. You also get the 500ma 12v adapter with it so you can power it from any house outlet (110v ). If you want to use it for 12v application like auto neon or car speakers etc. you will just not use the adapter.

Ion Generator

Generates negative ions and blows air without any moving parts.

High voltage negative ion generator generates "ion wind" without a fan or moving parts. Wind is generated by force of ion repulsion. Similar in principle to the ion propulsion systems used by NASA in modern spacecraft. Generate negative ions for health and airborne pollution removal in small areas. Kit includes 7.5kV DC negative power supply at 400 uA, 7 ion wind tubes and mounting hardware for the ion wind generator.

Negative Ion Generator

Compact negative Ion Generator cleans air impurities and provides a fountain of fresh air. These negative ions are the same type that are produced in a thunderstorm. This unit is set to 7.5kv and can operate directly from standard 120VAC. Very simple to use - just connect any AC line cord to the black and white power leads and a tremendous quantity of negative ion will be emitted by the 4 needle emitter assembly shown. Fully encapsulated module is about 2" x 1 5/8" x 7/8".
