Uranium Ore Paperweight |

Each uranium ore sample is radioactive and tested with a NRC certified GCA-07W Digital Geiger Counter before embedding the ore sample in plastic. Uranium ore size varies. The radioactivity of the embedded uranium ore sample may not be detectable by a Geiger Counter through its encasing plastic. Each uranium ore specimen is different. These are handmade products so there may also be tiny air bubbles trapped in the plastic from the casting and embedding process.

 Images Scientific is creating a vendor-agnostic datalogger capable of reading both the serial output from Images branded geiger counters and TTL pulse output by other manufacturer's geiger counters. That means this datalogger will be a universal radiation recording tool. Toggle between serial and pulse input, press the record button and you're on your way to logging your findings. Once finished you can playback your data for analysis or graphing.
