Position each servomotor bracket at the marked locations on your platform. Attach the servomotor bracket in position with two #4 x ¾” length wood screws.

Secure the two servomotors into their respective brackets. The pen holder servomotor is inverted so that the servomotor shaft is closer to the base platform, see figure 7.

Sphere-Bot™ may be purchased as a kit or built from scratch. The key components for Sphere-Bot™ may be purchased separately. In this article we will assume you are building Sphere-Bot™ from scratch and the instructions are based on that premise. The kit version of Sphere-Bot™ is shown at the end of this article.

The pen holder is made from two pieces of plastic measuring 2-1/8” long, x 1.0” wide and 3/8” thick, identified as parts A and B. The dimensional drawings for the parts are shown in figures 8. A standard HiTec servomotor horn is modified by having one extension clipped of as shown in figure 9.
